The GWRC is pleased to present the Georgia premiere of Hidden Rivers, a new feature-length 1-hour film that explores the rivers and streams of the Southern Appalachian region, North America’s most biologically rich waters. The film follows the work of conservation biologists and explorers throughout the region and reveals both the beauty and vulnerability of this aquatic life and how many people are finding ways to protect it.

This screening will take place on Tuesday Evening (April 16) at Ciné on Washington Street across from the Creature Comforts brewery in Downtown Athens. The screening will be at 7:30, but we’ll have a few minutes to peruse an exhibit of underwater photographs from Freshwaters Illustrated beforehand. Attendance at this event is limited to 120 people, please select the stand-alone Hidden Rivers Screening on the Registration page if you did not select the movie option when you registered for the conference.
